Watch The Simpsons take down Trump and Putin in new clip

Homer explains why he's voting for Hillary Clinton in US election

The Simpsons has weighed in on the US election, with Homer casting his vote for Hillary Clinton in a new clip that takes swipes at both Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In a new clip released online, Homer meets a suspicious pro-Trump Red Sox fan who turns out to be Putin in disguise. Homer also argues how he could never vote for Trump as he has filed for bankruptcy six times (“that’s two more than me,” Homer exclaims).

Elsewhere in the clip, Smithers is seen wearing a Clinton T-shirt while Mr Burns is wearing one that ironically reads “Average Joes For Trump”. Watch beneath.
