Copies of U2‘s ‘Songs Of Innocence’ LP, released on vinyl for Record Store Day, have been found with a Tool EP inside.
The Irish band released the album last year, causing controversy when it appeared automatically in iTunes users’ libraries.
Yesterday’s (April 18) Record Store Day vinyl pressing seems to have encountered some mix-ups, however, after one fan found Tool’s 1992 EP ‘Opiate’ inside her copy, Fact reports.

Meanwhile, in Dublin, Windmill Lane studios – more popularly known as the ‘U2 studio’ – has been demolished due to a local redevelopment project.
The studio complex was home to U2 as they made their early albums, with the group recording ‘The Joshua Tree’, ‘Boy’ and ‘War’ there. REM, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison and Elvis Costello have also all recorded there too.
Now the Irish Independent reports that “bulldozers and wrecking balls moved in over the weekend with just the iconic graffiti walls still surviving after the weekend’s work”.
