Vampire Weekend performed their self-titled, 2008 debut album in full at their show in Ojai, California last night (June 16).
Released in 2008, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the band’s first LP. Speaking of the shows this weekend, the band wrote on Instagram: “[One show’s] on Saturday night, the other’s Sunday morning. Probably worth catching both.”
Opening with ‘Mansford Roof’, the band played all 11 tracks from the album in order. They then finished off the set with performances of ‘White Sky’ and ‘Step’. You can see a live stream of the gig below.

The band are gearing up to release their new album, which they claim is “94.5% done”. Frontman Ezra Koenig told a fan in September 2017 that the record was “80% done but the last 20% is always the hardest”.
Last month, Vampire Weekend updated their Facebook page with a new logo, while their fourth album is currently known by the working title ‘Mitsubishi Macchiato’.
They also returned to Instagram for the first time in five years, posting three cryptic images. Pictures of a broken TV, a fleece jumper and a sticker on the back windshield of a car was put up on their account, with Koenig also posting a video to his personal account, writing, “Follow @vampireweekend.”
The band made their 2018 live return with a surprise LA appearance in April. Aside from some performances at Bernie Sanders rallies in 2016, it marked their first live show since appearing on the main stage at Reading & Leeds in 2014.
They’ll also be playing some festival dates for this summer, including Fuji Rock in Japan, Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and Salisbury’s End Of The Road.
