Watch kids try to spell as poorly as Donald Trump on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’

"Make America 'Grate' Again Spelling Bee"

Jimmy Kimmel has challenged kids to attempt to spell as poorly as President Donald Trump does on Twitter.

In a segment on his talk-show, Kimmel staged a spelling bee where three kids would be asked to recreate misspellings Trump made on Twitter to illustrate. “I like the way you’re trying to get into that [Donald Trump’s] head, but you spelled it just a little too incorrectly”, Kimmel consoles one of the kids guessing that Trump spelled ‘honoured’ as ‘onered’ rather than how he actually did: ‘honered’.

For every correct-incorrect answer the kids got right, they would be awarded $100. Kimmel joked: “Whoever has the most dollars at the end is the winner – just like in life.” Watch the segment below.

Last month, Trump responded to the news that this year’s Oscars ceremony scored the lowest TV ratings in its history.

Soon after the figures were shared, the US President took to Twitter to share his views. “Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY,” he wrote. “Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!

Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel soon hit back at Trump, writing: “Thanks, lowest rated President in HISTORY”.

Meanwhile, makers of The Simpsons have shared a new short sketch satirising Donald Trump.

The new short sees Trump taking “a good hard look in the mirror”, and being “honest for once in [his] life”. Stuttering, he tells himself he’s “not 100 percent consistent”, “you cheat at golf, you cheat at your taxes, you cheat on your wives”, and “you’ve been acting like a narcissistic sociopath”.
