Watch a new black and white trailer for ‘Black Mirror’ season 4

New episodes of Charlie Brooker's sci-fi anthology series are on their way

A new trailer for Black Mirror season 4 has been released.

Charlie Brooker’s sci-fi anthology series is set to return for a new batch of episodes on Netflix. No release date for the new season has been confirmed as yet, however.

The latest trailer teases an episode called ‘Metalhead’, which features Maxine Peake. The 45 second teaser is completely in black and white, and shows Peake seemingly on the run. “If I don’t make it back, I’ve always loved you all,” she can be heard telling someone at the end.

In September, the first images from the new series were revealed, hinting at a Star Trek parody episode. Taken from the episode ‘Callister’, the cast wear similar costumes to that in the in the cult sci-fi series and appear to be aboard a spaceship.

Michaela Coel (Chewing Gum), Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad), Cristin Milioti (Fargo) and Jimmi Simpson (House of Cards) are all present in the photo.

Like last year’s Black Mirror output, season 4 will contain six episodes. The titles of the other four are ‘Crocodile’, ‘Hang the DJ’, ‘ArkAngel’ and ‘Black Museum’.

Speaking about the new episodes earlier this year, Charlie Brooker said: “When writing [the episodes] I never think any of these things are going to come true, and then it seems like some of them do, which is a bit worrisome, generally.
