Adaptation of Julian Assange biography planned
A biopic about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is being planned.
The film rights to Australian reporter Andrew Fowler’s upcoming biography of Assange, The Most Dangerous Man in the World, have been secured by producers Barry Josephson and Michelle Krumm.
The pair have described the planned film as “a suspenseful drama thriller,” reports Variety magazine.
The book will provide a look into Assange’s life from childhood to present, including the founding of WikiLeaks in 2006 and the controversy caused by releasing secret US diplomatic documents.
Assange is currently under house arrest in the UK while Swedish courts seek to extradite him following allegations of rape.
