Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg take on ‘The Turkey Bowl’

'The Other Guys' stars to reunite for American Football comedy

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are set to team up again for American Football comedy vehicle The Turkey Bowl.

With 2010’s The Other Guys, a comedy which saw the pair play mismatched New York cops grossing over $100 million (£62 million), Warner Brothers have signed Ferrell and Wahlberg to play two opposing sports fans who go to war over a Thanksgiving game of touch football.

The script, by 30 Rock producer Robert Carlock and Friends writer Scott Silveri, is reported to have room for a host of cameos. Alec Baldwin, who memorably played Wahlberg’s boss in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning The Departed is already signed to play his father.

The Turkey Bowl will be another out-and-out comedy for Wahlberg who is currently filming Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane’s feature debut, Ted, about a man whose teddy bear comes to life.

Ferrell will soon be seen in Everything Must Go, a comedy/drama based on a short story by Raymond Carver, about a man who sells all his possessions in a yard sale.
