Will Smith has celebrated his 50th birthday by bungee jumping out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.
The Oscar-winning star shared the terrifying stunt on his YouTube channel – capturing the moment that he’s seen exiting the helicopter in epic style.
“Oh my God, this is gorgeous, this is gorgeous”, Smith screams as he heads into the canyon.
He was joined by a small crowd of onlookers that included wife Jada Pinkett Smith and his three kids Trey, Jaden and Willow, along with his friend and Fresh Prince co-star Alfonso Ribeiro.
Smith marked the milestone birthday by performing the stunt for YouTube channel Yes Theory – which encourages people to perform challenges that are far from their comfort zone.
Speaking afterwards, he admitted: “I am not going to be able to articulate it thoroughly right now but here’s a real relationship between freedom and joy.
“There’s an idea bubbling in my mind, as fear as a cage, fear actually traps you.
“My father passed just little over a year ago and there’s something about the confrontation with death that makes you live life more freely.
“The freedom to just be and do who and what you are, is absolutely exhilarating.
“Life is hard. You might get hurt. Your heart might get broken. You might lose your job. But you’ve still got to commit.”
