It's not all sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll y'know. Some bands have to work super hard to make it big. The top 10 hardest working bands from have just been announced by Songkick, starting with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who've played 138 shows and travelled an impressive 199,281 km.
The phenomenally successful Two Door Cinema Club have just been announced as next year's Latitude headliners. They've certainly put in the hard graft, playing 142 shows and travelling 206, 997km since the start of the year.
Next up is Willie Nelson who, at 80, year old - yes, that's 80 - is putting everyone to shame with his crazy touring schedule. The country singing legend as played 145 show and travelled 73,938 km.
You can't fault those young whippersnappers for their work ethic. One Direction have travelled 103,760 km and played 145 gigs.
Papa Roach! Remember them? Still going strong on the live circuit with 147 shows and 105,261 km covered.
Foals recently won NME readers tracks AND albums of the year so their hard work's clearly paying off. Other artists in the top 20 (who don't work as hard as Foals) are Ellie Goulding, P!nk, Miguel and Bonobo.
Imagine Dragons are up there with 157 shows and 206,031 km travelled.
Alt-J have travelled over the distance to the moon and back. How's that for size?
Kendrick Lamar's also been busy, playing a total of 171 shows and travelling 229,583 km.
But the most hardworking band of all in 2013 is Local Natives who have played the most shows this year with a whopping 188 and 192486 km. That's five laps of the earth.
