For the last 13 weeks, we’ve been inviting bands to design and draw alternative NME covers. All We Are, Kins, La Dispute, The Wytches were just some of the bands to have a bash. We’ve called it Cover Versions, supported by Pilot Pens. Have a look at their efforts.
A touch of Velvet Underground class here from synth-pop Liverpool trio All We Are.
Peace gave over their alternative cover to their alter-ego band The Toadz.
A beast of an effort from Cali punks Fidlar.
Dinosaur Pile-Up went a bit abstract with theirs. Chilling stuff.
Nothing amateur about this go from Amateur Best.
Here's what Sonic Cathedral noise-makers Spectres concocted. Great tag line.
You've seen it, now you can't unsee it - Metz' alternative cover will be haunting your nightmares forever more.
A rather pensive sketch here from Londoners Genghar.
Maccabees-approved newcomers Crows turned down working with Kanye. Or so their cover would have you believe.
Ho99o9 by name, Ho99o9 by artistic skills. The rap duo's alt NME cover is as menacing as their dark, brutal sound.
Post-hardcore crew La Dispute went down the floral route with theirs.
Kins look like a sketchy bunch...
And finally, The Wytches. The Brighton band joined the NME Awards Tour with Austin, Texas earlier in 2015 when they played with Palma Violets and Fat White Family.
