Brandon Flowers brought his world tour for second solo album 'The Desired Effect' to a close last night (November 16) with an intimate sold out gig at London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
The Las Vegas musician opened with "new" song, 'Come Out With Me', an unreleased track whose lyrics Flowers adapts depending on what town he's playing in.
During the 17-song set, Flowers performed four Killers songs - 'Human', 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine', 'Read My Mind' and 'Mr Brightside'. Each was given a fresh twist.
Throughout the set, the singer bounced around the stage and onto his monitors to get closer to the crowd, punching the air and shaking clenched fists.
"Looondoooon", he hollered halfway through a punchy 'Can't Deny My Love', lifting the already ecstatic audience even higher. After 'Crossfire', taken from 2010's 'Flamingo', he exclaimed: "This feels good!"
The set mostly pulled from 'The Desired Effect', including a chugging 'Digging Up The Heart', New Order-recalling 'I Can Change', and a calmer, emotional 'Between Me And You'.
Before 'Magdalena', Flowers told the crowd about an annual pilgrimage in Mexico where participants walk 60 miles for forgiveness. "I can't forgive you," he concluded, before gesturing to his long-haired guitarist. "Benji might look like he can, but he can't either."
After a brief pause, during which the lights at the back of the stage lit up in the colours of the French flag, Flowers brought the show to an end with an encore featuring 'Between Me And You', 'Still Want You' and 'Only The Young'.
