Courtney Barnett performed in front of a packed crowd at London's Sebright Arms on Thursday February 12 as the singer played a special NME Awards Show, with Austin Texas.
The Australian newcomer's gig was the most recent in a month-long run of London shows throughout February from different artists. There are still shows from the likes of Drenge and The Orwells still to come.
Barnett kicked off her show - in front of a couple of hundred fans - with her track 'Lance JR.'.
Joined by her band, she continued her set with songs like 'Canned Tomatoes (Whole)' and 'Woodwork'.
The sound was different from what the audience may have come to expect, much more amplified. It was the first time she's been joined by a full band in London.
Interjection from crowd and Courtney was kept to a minimal throughout, but 'DePreston' (which she revealed will be released as a special 7-inch for Record Store Day this year) was an intimate moment with Barnett on guitar, later joined by her drummer.
Barnett - although quite quiet - had fun onstage, taking cues from her bassist and throwing her moppy mane around over the frame of her guitar.
The Courtney Barnetts - rocking out.
One of the biggest crowd reactions for the night was for 'Avant Gardener'.
Courtney Barnett closed out her set with 'History Eraser'.
