Enter Shikari debuted a number of new songs at the launch gig for their new album ‘The Mindsweep’ on Sunday (January 18) at Kingston’s intimate Rose Theatre. Here’s how the evening went down – in the group’s own words…
"Our pre-show standing and pointing ceremony is now legendary."
"We wanted to include some new stuff in the set for the show. A couple of these were getting their first ever live play (aside from not enough rehearsals, of course)."
"This must be during 'Radiate', 'cos Rou's playing guitar. And he's still onstage, which means it must be early in the song."
"It was the first show we've ever done with two balconies. This is what it must be like to be Sir Ian McKellen."
"Rou goes for his mid-set swim."
"No idea how the photographer took this. Luckily, Rou didn't know this sort of vantage point was possible, or he would have had it first."
"Here's Rob having a shout to spice up his hitting of things."
"Hold onto your hats, there's an awkward first date in the front row!"
"That's Rou. On a speaker stack."
"Brian the guitar-tech surprised Rou with a mid-show birthday cake. His birthday's in June tho. Nice try, Bri."
"A nice shot of Rory. It'd be a shame to ruin it with a wannbe-witty caption."
"Taken after midnight, so the first official photo of the album post-release."
