This week Dave Grohl is celebrating his 46th birthday. To celebrate, and with only a few days notice, Foo Fighters announced a special show at the Forum in Los Angeles. Lots of Grohl’s famous friends turned out to make it a unique night.
Dave Grohl celebrated his forthcoming 46th birthday with a special show at the Forum in L.A. on Saturday (January 10). He pulled out all the stops by inviting a number of famous guests, including Alice Cooper who performed 'School's Out'.
Foo Fighters played the show 'in the round' with the audience surrounding them.
Kiss's Paul Stanley helped the band run through a rendition of 'Detroit City'.
Somewhere in amongst all the balloons are Tenacious D's Jack Black and Kyle Gass. They dropped to the stage as Grohl was wished Happy Birthday.

The band were also joined on stage towards then the end of the night by Van Halen's David Lee Roth. He and the band ripped through 'Panama'.
During the show Grohl enjoyed the company of some of his personal musical heroes including Lemmy Kilmister, who joined the band on stage along with Slash and Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Zakk Wylde.
