There's really no contest - Oya Festival is situated on one of the most beautiful festival sites this planet has to offer. This past weekend music fans flocked to Oslo, Norway to catch the likes of Kanye West, Fleet Foxes, Pulp and Janelle Monae perform. Missed it? In addition to playing a daytime slot, Wiz Khalifa participated in Nighttime Øya - a series of concerts and club nights around the city center after the festival site closes for the night.
The festival takes place in the Medieval Park, which is located in the oldest part of Oslo. The festival site closes every night at 11pm, but nighttime musical events continue throughout the city.
Wu Lyf also made an appearance at the Norway-based festival.
Although the weekend saw a few bouts of heavy Norwegian rain, there was also lots of sunshine.
Oya Festival was the first European festival to book Fleet Foxes back in 2008, and the band returned this year to play their new material.
Continuing with their long string of summertime festival slots, Pulp played at Oya Festival this past weekend.
This was Janelle Monae's only Norway gig of the summer.
Maybe Norwegians are generally better behaved than UK music fans, or maybe they're just better at obeying signs. But there's no crowd surfing at Oya Festival.
In addition to playing a set at the main festival site, Twin Shadow also played a DJ-set for Nighttime Oya.

Lykke Li made it to perform at Oya Festival, although due to a "very sudden illness", she had to cancel her appearace at Finland's Flow Festival.
Givers traveled all the way from Louisiana to play at Oslo's Oya Festival this past weekend.
