My Chemical Romance ruled Reading and Leeds this year as headliners after being bottled in 2006. The band played a ferocious set scoring a triumphant opening with 'Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)' and took to the stage alongside fireworks, lasers and a multi-screen video wall.
Frontman Gerard Way relishes in the delight of returning to a crowd enthralled by the band, stating: "Reading - you look ravishing, you look beautiful. You look different."
The band had taken time out of supporting Blink 182 on their US tour to play their only UK festival this year.
