On Friday, former Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond began a four-month prison sentence for stabbing a man during a bar fight in 2014. But what happened to his co-stars from the classic ’90s teen sitcom? This gallery has the latest on Zack, Kelly, Mr. Belding and the rest of the Bayside High gang.
Diamond was pretty adorable as nerdy Samuel "Screech" Powers in Saved By The Bell and its late-'90s spin-off The New Class. Since then, he's shown a rather more grown up side by releasing his own sex tape, writing a tell-all book slagging off his former co-stars, and now getting slapped with that four-month prison sentence. What would Mr Belding say?
After making her name as Bayside's principled class president Jessie Spano, Berkley shook off her good girl rep with a role in infamous 1995 erotic drama Showgirls, bagging two Razzies in the process. More recently, she's guested on TV shows including CSI: Miami and The L Word as well as competing on Dancing With The Stars in 2013.
During his six-year stint playing super-cool student Zack Morris, Gosselaar dated three of his Saved By The Bell co-stars: Lark Voorhies, Tiffani Thiessen and Elizabeth Berkley. (He dated them one at a time, we're pleased to confirm). He's since worked pretty consistently on TV, recently starring in hit legal drama Franklin & Bash from 2011 to 2014.
After playing Bayside's wrestling jock A.C. Slater, Lopez portrayed iconic Olympic diver Greg Louganis in a 1997 TV movie. He's since made a successful transition from actor to TV presenter, hosting US entertainment show Extra since 2008 as well as The X Factor US. Still ridiculously ripped, Lopez has written several health and fitness books too.
After playing head cheerleader Kelly Kapowski for four years, Thiessen landed a role on Beverly Hills, 90210. She's continued to work prolifically as an actress and even launched her own cookery show last year. It's called - wait for it - Dinner At Tiffani's and her supper guests have included her old Bayside mates Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley.
Creel appeared in 10 episodes of Saved By The Bell's final season as Tori Kelly, a new student branded a "tough girl" because she rode a motorcycle and wore a leather jacket. So edgy. After a couple of small follow-up acting roles, Creel became a TV and film producer and now runs her own production company specialising in food, travel and lifestyle content.
Like Dustin Diamond, Haskins reprised his role as Principal Dennis Belding in spin-off series Saved By The Bell: The New Class, which lasted until 2000. Nine years later, he released his debut album, 'Karaoke With Your Favorite Principal Dennis,' which features renditions of pop classics like 'Brown Eyed Girl' and 'Piano Man'. It's on iTunes now for just £7.99.
After the show ended, the Lisa Turtle actress appeared in US soap The Bold And The Beautiful and a short-lived sitcom, In The House. More recently, pictures of Voorhies looking radically different at a 2012 film premiere went viral. She didn't appear in Jimmy Fallon's SBTB reunion skit last year, her agent said, because she was simply too busy.
