Jack White has revealed that he recently recorded a new song with Jay-Z. The White Stripes, Raconteurs and Dead Weather man confirmed that the pair had hooked up for the collaboration, but wouldn’t reveal when, or if, it would be released.

Bjork and director Michel Gondry are set to work on a new 3D film project. Gondry, who has produced music videos for the Icelandic musician in the past, told music/film blog Theplaylist.blogspot.com that the project would be a “science musical” utilising three-dimensional visuals.

Motorhead have announced details of a 35th anniversary tour of the UK. Kicking off in Aberdeen on November 8, the 15-date tour will finish with a show in Brighton on November 28.

A Christmas Carol Premiere – London

Jedward have reportedly signed a deal with record label Universal – the day after being dropped by Sony Music. On Tuesday (March 16) it was reported that the former X Factor contestants – real names John and Edward Grimes – had been dropped after releasing their debut single ‘Under Pressure’.

Morrissey has said he thinks artist Damien Hirst should have his head “kept in a bag” for the way he uses dead animals in his work. The singer, who is a staunch vegetarian, made the comment in an interview – where he was asking the questions – with artist Linder Sterling for Interview Magazine.

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said he wants Snoop Dogg to play this year’s festival. Eavis said his daughter – and Glastonbury co-organiser – Emily came up with the idea of booking the rapper, although he hasn’t been confirmed to play yet according to The Sun.

V Festival 2009 – Chelmsford

James have announced the tracklisting for their upcoming mini-album ‘The Night Before’. The first of two mini-albums the group are set to release in succession, the Lee ‘Muddy’ Baker-produced release is out on April 19.

Klaxons and Empire Of The Sun are among the latest additions to the line-up at this summer’s Open’er Festival. The bands will join the likes of Kasabian, Pavement and Massive Attack at the festival, taking place in Gdynia, Poland between July 1-4.

Kasabian and Wild Beasts have been added to the line-up for this year’s Roskilde Festival, which takes place between July 1-4 in Denmark. The new acts will join the likes of Muse, Them Crooked Vultures, Pavement, Florence And The Machine and Gallows, who have already been confirmed for the event.

Lady Gaga could play an assassin in Quentin Tarantino’s next film, according to reports. The singer – who used the Pussy Wagon van from Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ film for her much-talked-about video for ‘Telephone’ – is said to have met the ‘Inglourious Basterds’ director recently.

Michael Jackson’s estate has reportedly agreed the biggest record deal in history to release further music by the late singer. The $200million (£133million) deal with Sony BMG reportedly covers the release of 10 further Jackson albums over the next seven years.

Noel Gallagher will be joined onstage by Primal Scream bassist Mani at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 25 and 26, the guitarist’s first gig since quitting Oasis. Mani revealed the news in an interview with talkSPORT radio on Sunday (March 14).
