The Prodigy are giving away a free download of a remix of the title track of their recent album ‘Invaders Must Die’ from their official website, Theprodigy.com. The band are making a ‘Liam H’s Re-amped Version’ of the track from their 2009 album available for a week until October 28.

Dizzee Rascal played a gig at the Roundhouse in London this week (October 21) backed by an orchestra and full band, for the BBC Electric Proms. Walking onstage to a choral rendition of “he’s just a rascal, Dizzee Rascal” complete with heavy-rock guitar and a brief riff from The Strokes’ ‘Reptilia’, Dizzee proceeded to rip through ‘Jus’ A Rascal’. Music – Air

Air have announced a London date as part for their forthcoming 2010 European tour. The French duo will play the Roundhouse on February 24. This will be the final date of the tour, which kicks off on January 8 in Nantes, France. The gig will be Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin’s first London show since 2007 and the release of their sixth album, ‘Love 2’. Pic: PA Photos

Stephen Gately dies

Boyzone’s record label, Polydor, has lodged an official complaint to the Press Complaints Commission over a column in the Daily Mail regarding Stephen Gately’s death. The move comes after Jan Moir’s article, which branded the late singer’s passing as “strange, lonely and troubling”, attracted more than 25,000 complaints – the most ever made about a single newspaper article. Metallica are to release ‘Francais Pour Une Nuit’, a DVD of their gig in Nimes, France which took place in July of this year. The title translates in English to ‘French For One Night’ as the footage was recorded by a French crew, the artwork designed by a French team and the credits for the DVD are also in French. SUMMER TOURS LIL’ WAYNE

Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession. The rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, could now face a one-year prison sentence. The charges stem from a police search of his tour bus in New York in 2007, where officers discovered a handgun. Wayne will remain free on bail until sentencing takes place in February. Nokia Isle Of Wight Festival – Seaclose Park

REM, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine and Billy Bragg have pledged to support US President Barack Obama’s campaign to shut down Guantanamo Bay prison. Bon Jovi in concert – Boston

Bon Jovi have announced plans to stage a residency at London’s O2 Arena next year. It is not yet clear how many nights the band will be playing at the venue, but they have announced that they will kick off their residency on June 24. Calvin Harris has used Twitter to express his disappointment at not being allowed to promote his single on breakfast TV show GMTV.
