Jamie T has revealed he accidentally deleted his entire iTunes library, losing roughly £6,000 of music in the process. The Wimbledon troubadour admitted that it's his own fault he lost the tracks – because he was too busy watching TV, rather than concentrating on moving them to a hard drive.

5O2 Wireless Festival - Day One

Jay Z headlines the first day of the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, central London.
A Detroit man has been charged with making death threats against Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce, as well as a former football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Leon Desmond Barrett denied allegations that he sent dozens of letters over the past three years threatening to kill the three stars, and said that the letters were sent as a result of a dispute with sports star Jerome Bettis, reports allhiphop.com.

Muse look set to play two homecoming shows in Devon, according to their local paper. The band are strongly tipped to return to Teignmouth, where they formed, to play the town's The Den venue on September 4 and 5. According to Southdevon.co.uk, "secret talks" are underway to bring Muse home.

Michael Jackson's sister La Toya is believed to be in possession of over 100 unreleased tracks by the self-style king of pop, according to reports.Jackson is strongly rumoured to have recorded tracks with artists including Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am, Akon and Ne-Yo, though it is unclear whether any duplicates of songs were made. Will.i.am has confirmed that he does not own copies of the Jackson material he appeared on.

8Isle of Wight Festival 2009 - Day Three

The Horrors' London club night The Cave Club is set to return on August 15 at the Buffalo Bar in Highbury. The event – the first Cave Club bash for five months – will feature band members Spider Webb, Tomethy Furse and Coffin Joe playing DJ sets, while The Infamous will make their debut live performance.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been flown to hospital after falling offstage in the US this week (August 5). The singer was reportedly dancing on a catwalk at the band's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally gig in South Dakota, when he slipped offstage and injured his neck and shoulder.

Ian Brown has announced two live headline dates later this month - serving as warm-ups for his forthcoming appearance at the Reading And Leeds Festivals. The former Stone Roses frontman will play at the Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on August 25 then at the Oxford O2 Academy on August 26.

La Roux's Elly Jackson says she feels bad because her album has been received better than that of rival Little Boots. The bequiffed singer said the reaction that has greeted Little Boots' album 'Hands' was "unfair", adding that she doesn't like it when new acts receive too much hype early on in their careers.

Dizzee Rascal says he wants to be given a part on 'EastEnders'. The Bow-born rapper admitted he's keen to move into acting, and thinks the London soap is the perfect programme for him. "'EastEnders' means a lot to me, because I'm from the east end," he said. "I've thought about acting a couple of times. It is something I want to break into soon. It would be a natural progression."

Former Razorlight man Andy Burrows to record a solo album - and is joining We Are Scientists.The drummer has been in New York with the duo - Chris Caine and Keith Murray - working on songs for the duo's third record, and told NME.COM that he plans to record with them and do his own album this autumn. Burrows quit Razorlight in March this year.

V Festival have announced two up-and-coming acts who will open this year's festivals. The founder of Swedish company Global Gaming Factory has claimed that his proposed takeover of torrent-sharing site The Pirate Bay will occur on August 27. Talks for the company to take over the site began following guilty verdicts being given to four men involved with the website for copyright infringement crimes in April.

Raygun singer Ray Gun has apologised for the comments he made in a TV interview that went viral online earlier this week (beginning August 3). The frontman was responding to a TV interview with his band that, when posted on YouTube, resulted in relentless mockery from users because of the clichéd comments he made.
