Amy Winehouse is still intending to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 28, despite having been in hospital since Monday (June 16). The singer is also confident she will perform at the Nelson Mandela concert in London’s Hyde Park on June 27.

Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat was rushed to hospital yesterday morning (June 17) with stomach pains, and has now been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.

Barat’s spokesperson explained that the singer and guitarist is being kept under observation until the weekend (June 21).

Kid Rock is refusing to allow his songs to be sold through the Apple iTunes download service because he doesn’t believe that Apple pay artists enough for their downloads.

The rapper claimed that the download service was based on an "old system" whereby musicians were cut out of pay deals.

The songs, reportedly "mastered [and] finished", were leaked on a site this week, but have since been taken down.

The group are planning to record their debut album providing Barat has recovered from acute pancreatitus, which is currently keeping him in hospital.
