Before heading out on the road to headline the NME Awards Tour, Two Door Cinema Club stopped by the NME office last week to play us a short acoustic set and to answer some questions put to them - by a few lucky fans who got to join us. Take a look at some pictures from their visit by clicking through this gallery.
The trio kicked their set off with an acoustic version of 'What You Know'. You can watch a video of them playing the song here, as well as hear the band discuss the story behind writing it.
Speaking about 'What You Know', frontman Alex Trimble said: "I wanted to kind of sum up our lives at that point, where we were touring all the time. We had just started being a professional band and it kind of encompasses the people you leave behind and also just the total uncertainty of what we were doing."
The band also revealed that they'll be working with "big name producer" on their second album. "I can't tell you, it's still under wraps," Trimble told NME. "It's a big name though. He's quite a big producer, but his studio is just next to his house, there's no huge mixing desk, so it's really relaxed and a great place to be."
The band also faced a 'Fannish Inquisition' during their visit, answering questions asked by some of their London-based fans. Stay tuned for a video from the Q&A session.
Alex Trimble signs a few autographs for his fans.
In the next few weeks, there will also be videos live on NME.com of the band performing tracks including 'Cigarettes In The Theatre' and 'Something Good Can Work'.
This was the second 'In The NME Office' session - Frank Turner stopped by last month and played a few of his songs, along with a cover of The Killers' 'Mr. Brightside'.
If you missed the chance to catch Two Door Cinema Club's intimate set at NME, you can still see them headlining the NME Awards Tour (they'll hit up the O2 Academy Brixton on 25 February).
The band are currently being joined on the NME Awards Tour by Metronomy, Tribes and Azealia Banks.
The band signed some Polaroid shots taken in the NME office (and Kevin grew some antlers).
