Jay-Z, Lily Allen, Missy Elliott and LCD Soundsystem were among the acts on the Wireless bill in London’s Hyde Park over the weekend (July 2-4).
In a provocative move, given the traditional sporting rivalry between England and Germany, Elliott’s band arrived on stage wearing Germany football shirts. Germany defeated Argentina 4-0 later the same day.
Slash onstage with his touring vocalist Myles Kennedy, Sunday July 4. Fans were treated to a number of Guns N’Roses classics, as well as tracks from Slash’s current solo album.
LCD Soundsystem lashed out at the crowd during their headline set on day two at the Wireless Festival (July 3) after fans threw several bottles onstage.
The band, who recently released their third album ‘This Is Happening’, stopped their set midway through to chastise the lively audience members.

Jay-Z called London his “second home” as he headlined the final day of the 2010 Barclaycard Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park, July 4.
Jay-Z told fans: “I feel like London is my second home, all of a sudden”, before he marked ‘Independence Day’ by projecting a large US flag behind him during his set.
During a megamix of ‘Girls, Girls’, Girls’ and ’03 Bonnie And Clyde’, Jay-Z urged everyone to “grab a jacket and throw it in the air”, before he threw his coat at an eager female fan. Security however failed to get the coat to the fan. The exasaperated rapper urged them: “Just give her the jacket, Jesus.”
