NME People Of The Year 2016

It’s nearly the end of the year so let’s stop worrying about all of the horrendous things that have happened in 2016 and focus instead on some of the amazing people who’ve contributed something positive to the world.

NME’s second annual People Of The Year list is a celebration of the great and good who’ve entertained us, made us ask questions, challenged the establishment, succeeded in the face of adversity, used their platform to draw attention to the important things in life and inspired us to act and think in different ways. Oh, and Pikachu.

So – if only for the time it takes you to read this week’s magazine- banish all thoughts of death, doom, despair, bigotry, facism and the impending World War III from your brains and remind yourself that there are good people on the planet doing good things, and that these 12 are only a small representation of that.
