'Prefixing a band’s name with cult is often mistaken as a euphemism for cool'

Prefixing a band’s name with ‘cult’ is often mistaken as a euphemism for ‘cool’, when it really means ‘plodding along for years without anybody giving a shit’. Hello then, cult Japanese rockers EES, whose mishmash of Foos-ish guitars, metal-style vocals and weird Thunderbirds circa-1965 artwork are so clichéd there is no hope of anyone caring anytime soon.
