Track Review: Fucked Up

Son Of Sam

To be honest, we could have chosen any one of the three tracks on this commemorative seven-inch disc for the second UK Shred Yr Face tour, but Fucked Up’s ferocious cover of Chain Gang’s ‘Son Of Sam’ won by a beardy, shouty nose. On vibrant red vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies, this also features The Gun Club’s ‘She’s Like Heroin To Me’ as covered by The Bronx and ‘Apocalypso ’09’ by Rolo Tomassi. All three bands will also be playing three London instores on Sunday, at Pure Groove, Rough Trade and another venue to be announced soon. That’s almost too much punk for one day.
