Comedian, children’s telly host and most recently the beloved voice of Love Island, Iain Stirling manages to keep himself crazy-busy entertaining the masses. He joined us in the NME studios to give us an update on his latest tour, and give any aspiring Love Island contestants a bit of advice on how to get on the show.
Iain is also set to host the second series of CelebAbility, after its hugely successful debut last year. Speaking about why he loves the show, he told NME: “We get to make them do really daft stuff and look stupid, so that’s what I want to do: is to make people who always look so prim and proper look mad for the entertainment of the British public, and it’s going to be lots of fun.”
He also revealed his dream contestant for the show, saying: “I want Dame Judy Dench on the show, that would be the dream. Dame Judy, if you’ve got a party trick, get on down, CelebAbility on ITV2. I’m sure it’s the profile you’re after, you can extend out to that 16-34 market!”
BAFTA winning stand-up Iain Stirling is on a nationwide tour with U OK Hun? X until 26th May, including a performance at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on 22nd March. More info and tickets available at www.iaindoesjokes.com
