Craig David will receive an honorary degree of Doctor of Music from Southampton Solent University at a graduation ceremony held next month (November 7).
In recognition for his contribution to the music industry, David is one of "eight notable individuals to be bestowed with an honorary degree this year", with others including actor Jeremy Irons and fashion designer Jenny Packham.
Southampton Solent University Chancellor, Lord Alan West, will preside over the graduation ceremony that will also be broadcast via a webcast.
Meanwhile, Craig David releases his 'Greatest Hits' collection on November 24.
