Gaslight Anthem announce new album and UK tour – ticket details

Band's third album will be supported by UK live dates

The Gaslight Anthem will release their new album this summer – and will tour the UK to support the release, they have announced.

The album, ‘American Slang’, is the follow-up to 2008’s ‘The ’59 Sound’, and will be released in June. The UK shows kick off on June 22 in Birmingham.

Frontman Brian Fallon has claimed that ‘American Slang’ – which they worked on with producer Ted Hutt at The Magic Shop in New York – will see them step away from their influences.

“For the last record we looked really into it and we asked ‘What are our influences and how do we jam them in?’” he explained to NME.COM. “And on this one, we’re writing songs that we feel are relevant to us.”

The Gaslight Anthem will play:

Birmingham Academy 1 (June 22)
Glasgow ABC (23)
Manchester Academy 1 (24)
London HMV Forum (26)
Oxford Academy 1 (29)
