Duffy was the big winner at last night's (February 17) BRIT Awards ceremony in London.

The Welsh singer took home three prizes, winning the Best Album, Best British Female and Best British Breakthrough awards.

However Coldplay, who had equalled Duffy with four nominations, failed to win a single award on the night.

Meanwhile, Girls Aloud won Best Single, Elbow were named Best British Group and Iron Maiden were voted Best Live Group.

Kanye West won Best International Male, Kate Perry was crowned Best International Female while Kings Of Leon won both the Best International album and Best International Group awards.

Not the worst ever in my book, I think Duffy is a really boring version of winehouse but it's all voted so fair enough. Really chuffed Elbow won! I would have loved TV on the Radio to be nommed in international or Los Camp for best group but that's UNREALISTIC.

everyone apart from elbow there were losers. shame about the boring as hell speech i saw him give backstage, but hey its all about the music isnt itany event that invites bono to BOOST its coolness is severly fucked beyond repair.and scouting for girls nominated for best live band?? what the fuck gigs do the nomination committee go to? do they have an iota of exposure to live music?? cos the UK produces a hell of a lot of good live music that trounces anything you'd ever hear from those pop sellout shitmunchers

all nominations except elbow, radiohead, mgmt and the killers sucked. i couldn't stand those rubbish girls aloud...has everyone got mad i ask? this is nothing for me, really. at least paul weller won the best male artist. definitely not watching next year again. B.O.R.I.N.G.
