It took 18.5 million Kanye West fans just 17 minutes to guess the four-word combination of his new album’s title, after he tweeted that his album title’s new initials were ‘T.L.O.P’ late on Monday, February 8. Twitter responded with a near-infinite number of joke answers, but some of Kanye’s fans got serious and tried to win the pair of Yeezys and free tickets to his Yeezy Season 3 launch he promised to the first correct name-guesser.
‘T.L.O.P.’, confirmed yesterday night (February 10) was the third name change, after February 2015’s ‘So Help Me God’ morphed into May 2015’s ‘SWISH’ and January 2016’s ‘Waves’. But what was ‘T.L.O.P.’? Within 17 minutes, 20-year-old Dante Holley had got it: ‘The Life Of Pablo’. That much became clear late last night when Kanye tweeted a new tracklisting along with the new album title.

Speaking to MTV, Holley, who’s also a rapper and producer, said: “I wouldn’t be making music without [Kanye],” and revealed how he came up with the right answer. “When I first saw [T.L.O.P.] I initially thought it’d be ‘the something of something,’ and then I thought ‘The Life Of The Party.’ But then I was listening back to the first two singles he dropped [“Real Friends” and “No More Parties In L.A.”] to look for clues. And that’s when I heard the lyric, ‘I feel like Pablo when I’m working on my shoes.’”
There have already been many guesses about which Pablo Kanye means – Holley thinks it’s Escobar, for the record – but he should also be thinking about attending the Yeezy Season 3 show today (Thursday, February 11). At the time, he said no one had been in touch with him about his prize, and it looks like he might have to wait until Monday…
