Chris Pratt keeps cropping Jennifer Lawrence out of his selfies, just for a laugh

Jennifer Lawrence has always turned film promo into a game – last year she weirded out interviewers by joking she’d slept with both her Hunger Games costars and confronted a couple of serial prankster interviewers by pranking them right back. But in the past couple of weeks, her Passengers costar Chris Pratt has been outshining her in the piss-taking stakes by cropping her out of almost every single photo he’s posted to his Instagram.

First of all he just cropped her out completely

But then he began a campaign of aggressive cropping

Finally got that selfie with Jen y'all wanted. #passengersmovie

Literally cutting half her face off in some cases, like she was a stranger

Here Jen and I pose with @elrubiuswtf

Then he took a shot of the back of her head

Just hanging with my bestie Jen. #passengersmovie

And he continued by blocking most of her head out with his own

Another day down with me and my best buddy Jen. #London #passengersmovie

Then he went back to cropping half her face off again, only with Jamie Oliver this time

And just blocking her face outright, with some cue cards

Not before he Photoshopped her face onto his own. Better than nothing, eh Chris.

As promised. My best buddy #jenniferlawrence Sorry for messing with you guys before.

Don’t worry: this isn’t some long-running feud. He’s full of praise for his costar’s acting chops, recently telling GQ: “She is truly one of the greatest actresses I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She acts like Adele sings… She’s a terrible singer! But she’s a wonderful actress. She could just do it. She could just turn it on and it strikes emotion in you, like some people can just open their mouths and sing.”

Passengers is released in the UK on December 21.
