Simply titled ‘The Addams Family,’ it will arrive in cinemas on October 11, 2019.

The Addams Family were created by cartoonist Charles Addams, who drew the creepy clan for The New Yorker from 1938 until his death in 1988. The characters of Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley became famous when they appeared in a popular US sitcom in the 1960s.

A pair of live-action feature films, The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, followed in the 1990s with Anjelica Huston, Raúl Juliá and Christina Ricci starring as members of the creepy clan.

Meanwhile, Wolfhard is hard at work on Stranger Things season three. In December 2017 David Harbour said fans “probably won’t get [Season 3] until sometime in 2019” because the Duffer brothers “need time” to write it. “Those guys work so hard,” he said. “I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.”
