Chance The Rapper performed ‘No Problem’ – off his May mixtape ‘Coloring Book’ – on today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, bringing out 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne to perform their respective guest verses.
The Chicago artist appeared on the popular US daytime show as the musical guest of the eponymous host for today’s episode, which was filmed in LA yesterday (September 14).
The song – which reinforces Chance’s firm belief in staying independent and unsigned – was performed by the rapper as he and a number of backing dancers burst into a mock-up of a record label boardroom, trashing the office as Chance then prowled the stage. The rapper confirmed earlier today (September 15) that he’d pitched that very stage design to numerous “award and TV shows”, but they had all rebuffed his idea.
The stage design and performance on Ellen was something I pitched to a few Award & Tv shows, They all said no so THANKS ELLEN LOVE YOU❤️???

Mid-way through the performance, Georgia rapper 2 Chainz appeared on stage to perform his verse, before Lil Wayne – who this week quashed rumours that he would retire from music – joined the two artists on stage to close the song out. Wayne also altered the final bar of his verse to reference his current feud with Cash Money boss Birdman, rapping “And if that label try to stop me/I’m gon’ let ’em rob me/Yeah, right, like Ryan Lochte”, much to Chance’s delight.

Chance then sat down with Ellen for a short interview, where they covered topics such as his commitment to being unsigned, how he and the host met at a recent White House party, and how the rapper’s father once worked for President Barack Obama. Watch the full chat below.
