Some love it to bits, others compare it to Cliff Richard
Coldplay‘s new single ‘Paradise’ has split opinion among NME.COM users.
The new track, which is the second single to be taken from Coldplay‘s fifth studio album ‘Mylo Xyloto’, was released today (September 12) and posted online by the band.
Now, NME.COM users have taken to Facebook to have their say – and so far, the reaction has been mixed.
Shubham Gupta claimed it was the “same old bland stuff”, while Nátt Nattcho Day said: “I am once more disappointed that Coldplay are just churning out pop songs. It is a vast improvement on ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ but that was a monumental failure so it doesn’t take a lot. But it is nowhere near the standard I was expecting .”
But perhaps the most scathing comment came from Danielle Hetherington-Parker, who said: “Nah, they lost me with ‘X&Y’. It’s all too Cliff Richard for me.”
The track did have some defenders, however, with Ross Tristram insisting: “That’s a bloody good song! Really love it, best one yet!”, while Luiz Ortega Vega told the critics: “You’re trying too hard people, really good song, looking forward to the new album”.
Cillian King said imply: “Love it.” Jessica O’Driscoll said: “Already in love, has a slightly R&B feel to it. The new album is going to be SOME album!”
