are to perform live with the NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA at the GRAMMY AWARDS this weekend (February 23).

The band, who took home the coveted Best Band and Best Album gongs from last night’s (February 20) Brit Awards, are nominated for two Grammys including Best Alternative Music Album for ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’. The band had also won the NME Album Of The Year and Carling Best Album at last week’s (Febraury 13) NME Awards.

The prestigious awards show will be broadcast live from New York’s Madison Square Garden on the CBS network.

As previously reported, Coldplay play the same venue on June 13, as well as LA’s Hollywood Bowl on May 31, their biggest US gigs to date.

The band’s new single, ‘Clocks’, is released in the UK on March 24.
