The line-up for the ceremony is taking shape...

DESTINY’S CHILD, COLDPLAY and SONIQUE will all perform at this year’s BRIT AWARDS.

They will join previously announced artists including Robbie Williams, Westlife, Craig David and U2 at the ceremony, which takes place on February 26 at Earls Court in London. Two other, as-yet-unconfirmed bands will also perform at the awards, tipped to be Eminem and Limp Bizkit.

In addition, the shortlist for ‘Best British Newcomer’ has been announced, leading to more nominations for Coldplay and Craig David. The category, voted for by listeners of Radio 1, is completed with nominations for A1, Artful Dodger and Toploader.

Craig David has now been nominated in seven categories at this year’s awards. He is also nominated in the ‘Best British Single’, ‘Best British Video’, ‘Best British Album’, ‘Best British Dance Act’, ‘Best British Male’ and ‘Best British Newcomer – R’n’B/Urban’ categories. Coldplay have been nominated for five others; ‘Best Album’, ‘Best British Group’ and ‘Best British Newcomer – Indie’, ‘Best British Single’ and ‘Best British Video’.
