Watch Courtney Love cover PJ Harvey’s ‘To Bring You My Love’ live

Love previously labelled Harvey as an influence on her music

Courtney Love covered PJ Harvey at an event in San Francisco on Monday night (March 7).

The Hole singer held a talk at the Curran Theatre with composer/playwright Todd Almond, also performing songs from their Kansas City Choir Boy musical collaboration, Pitchfork reports.

Love also delivered a cover of Harvey’s ‘To Bring You My Love’, the opening track from the British musician’s 1995 album of the same name. Watch footage of Love’s cover beneath.

Speaking to Pitchfork in 2014, Love described Harvey as an influence on her music. “Early PJ Harvey is still what inspires me and makes me know I’m not there yet,” she said. “I always knew she was better than me, and I liked that. I like knowing that there is somebody who is a better guitar player, who had it down lyrically, and kicked my ass all over town.”

Meanwhile, Courtney Love covered Radiohead song ‘Creep’ during a live performance in Los Angeles in January.

The performance came at a private party held by songwriter and producer Linda Perry. Love’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, was in attendance and tweeted about her mother’s rendition, writing: “I got to watch my mom be the badass she is & destroy Creep by @radiohead tonight. Love you kooksmcgee”
