Speaking to NME at the NME Awards 2016 with Austin, Texas last night at the O2 Academy Brixton, Katy B called Craig David “an absolute dream,” adding: “He’s amazing. We shot the video for ‘Who Am I’ last week and he was like ‘Come round for a drink’. So we all went round for a drink and he had Ferrero Rocher everywhere and he started DJing for me and singing on the mic. Oh my god, his apartment is beautiful. There’s champagne everywhere. It’s just what you think it would be [like].”

Katy B added of David: “He is actually the kindest, most loveliest, most wonderful, genuine person and he’s so talented as well. We’ve written a few tunes together and seeing him in the studio, he’s so dedicated. His voice is like butter. He’s just the best.”

Katy B’s new album ‘Honey’ will be released on April 29. It also features collaborations with Four Tet, Jamie Jones and Novelist.

‘Honey’ has been described as a return to Katy B’s club roots. “I always love performing at places like Warehouse Project or Fabric, and I wanted to have new songs that I could perform at that sort of gig,” she says in a statement.
