Marilyn Manson is set to appear in the video for the new Eminem single ‘THE WAY I AM’, on which he is namechecked.

Inside sources in the US told nme.com that Manson shot the video within the last couple of weeks. It is unclear what role he will play in the clip.

The second verse of ‘The Way I Am’ goes: “When a dude’s gettin bullied and shoots up his school/They blame it on Marilyn, on Marilyn/And the Heroin”.

Limp Bizkit‘s Fred Durst appeared in the video for his last single ‘The Real Slim Shady’ after being namechecked in the lyrics.

A UK spokesperson for Eminem said that although no new single had been officially confirmed for the UK, it was likely ‘The Way I Am’ would be the next choice from his album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’, which is currently riding high in the album charts and has now sold more that 300,000 copies in the UK alone.

Manson was made a scapegoat for the Columbine High School massacre in April last year. He has subsequently kept a low profile, working on his forthcoming new album, movie and novel, which all have the working title of ‘Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death)’. He’s also claimed he will only communicate with the outside world through his website, [url=]www.marilynmanson.net.

Eminem appears at this year’s Reading and Leeds Carling Weekend Festivals.
