Jack White hides secret postcard-shaped vinyl in Third Man Records’ release of Jay Z album

The flexi-disc can be found by cutting the packaging of the release

Jack White‘s Third Man Records imprint recently issued Jay-Z‘s 2013 album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ on vinyl, now unveiling a previously-unannounced feature: a postcard-shaped vinyl containing a bonus track.

The album comes on two 180 gram vinyl, with the postcard flexi-disc hidden within the package’s back covering. In a press release, Third Man Records state that the bonus disc is “only accessible to those willing to take a knife to the iconic packaging”.

They add: “Once freed of its casing, this flexi disc plays a super secret hidden track. You’ll just have to hear it for yourself, because we sure don’t plan to ruin the mystery of it”.

Jack White recently spoke openly about the breakdown in his relationship with former White Stripes bandmate Meg White.

White said: “She (Meg) doesn’t answer her phone.” When asked by a fan if he would perform with her again White replied, “Nope, that time is gone.” Asked what might happen if the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, White responded, “doubt it, and doubt it.”

Last year, White again suggested that he has no relationship with Meg White anymore after The White Stripes officially ended in 2011.

Speaking at the time, White said: “I don’t think anyone talks to Meg. She’s always been a hermit. When we lived in Detroit, I’d have to drive over to her house if I wanted to talk to her, so now it’s almost never.”
