Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have bagged five nominatons in this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
The pair go head-to-head in four categories: Best Pop Act, Best Song, Best Female Act and Best Video. Gaga is also up for Best Live Act, while Perry, who hosted the show last year, is up for Best World Stage performance for her fifth nomination.
The awards are due to take place in Madrid on November 7.
Eminem is up for four nominations for Best Song, Best Male Act, Best Hip-Hop and Best Video for his Rihanna collaboration ‘Love The Way You Lie’.
Kings Of Leon have a got a nod for Best Rock act alongside Muse and Ozzy Osbourne while Gorillaz, Gossip, Paramore, Vampire Weekend and Arcade Fire lead the way in the Best Alternative category.
In the new bands category both The Drums and Hurts received nominations, while Delphic and Marina And The Diamonds feature in the Best UK & Ireland Act category.
