The dance duo part company with ffrr/London...

Dance veterans ORBITAL have officially parted with their record label FFRR/LONDON after 11 years.

The departure from the label is described as “amicable” and came about through the expiry of the six-album deal they originally signed in 1990. Orbital released ‘The Altogether’ in late spring of this year. They are currently working on their new album but have not yet signed to any new record company or confirmed a release date.

Orbital‘s Paul Hartnoll told www.muzikweekly.com: “We were disappointed with the way the last two albums were released, so it’s nice to be free and this time we can sit back and decide whether we’re going to do the next album ourselves or go with another label. We’re very happy with the new situation.”

Orbital‘s Greatest Hits album is due to be released in Spring 2002.
