Orbital have revealed they are to play a low-key world tour later in the year, including a handful of shows in IRELAND.

The band, who are currently working on their sixth studio album with ‘Middle Of Nowhere’ producer Mickey Mann, have confirmed via their official website, [url=]www.loopz.co.uk, they will play two dates in South Africa (September 1-2), two in Greece (8-9), Belfast (October 27), Dublin (28) and three shows in Japan (November 24-26).

The dates are currently provisional, and venues will be announced shortly.

The band’s only other foray into the live arena this year was a 20-minute original score that the band wrote and performed at this year’s Scott Walker‘s Meltdown Festival in London on June 17. It is unclear whether this score will appear in a different form on the new album.
