Outkast have said they will “spring” their new album on fans.

Rapper Big Boi has hinted that the Atlanta duo’s first material together in almost four years will be rush released.

“Mum’s the word cos when you talk about it then people gonna be anticipating it and then they tend to start getting mad at you if you don’t deliver. You gotta just spring it on ’em,” he told the Guardian..


However, the rapper – real name Antwan Patton – revealed that he had begun work on the record with Andre 3000.

“I can’t say nothing about that, ‘Dre will tell me off, but I got a whole batch of collard greens,” he added.

Outkast‘s last album was 2006’s soundtrack album ‘Idlewild’.

Big Boi’s solo album ‘Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty’ was released on Monday (July 6).
