OutKast’s Andre 3000 unveils clothing line

You too could look like a 'rebel gentleman'

Outkast’s Andre 3000 has revealed details of his Benjamin Bixby clothing line.

The star’s range comprises 70 items of clothing inspired by the US prep style and by college football from the 1930s.

Items of clothing, all sketched by Andre 3000, featured in the self-funded line, include wide-brimmed fedora hats, assorted waistcoats and pink sweatshirts featuring an embroidered ‘B’.

The clothes, described by the hip-hop star as ‘rebel gentleman’ or ‘classic spontaneity’, will be available in New York’s upmarket Barneys department store.

Speaking to New York magazine, Andre 3000 said: “There has to be something inventive about it. But not so inventive that it’s a turn-off. So that some of the greats, like Beau Brummell or the Duke of Windsor, would nod and say ‘Well done. Those guys killed us.’ That’s hip-hop.”
