Radiohead drummer Philip Selway appeared as a musical guest on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Friday night (October 10).

Performing the single ‘It Will End in Tears’ from his recently released solo album ‘Weatherhouse’, Selway appeared alongside band The Dap-Kings, best known for their work with soul singer Sharon Jones. Click below to watch.

‘Weatherhouse’ was released on Monday (October 6) and follows Selway’s 2010 solo debut, ‘Familial’. The new album is a collaboration between the 47-year-old and musicians Adem Ilhan and Quinta – artists who have previously performed in Selway’s backing band.

“From the outset we wanted the album to be the three of us, and we covered a lot of instruments between us. With a studio full of inspiring gear and a great-sounding desk, we felt like a band. Different musicians stretch you, and I felt stretched on ‘Weatherhouse’, but very enjoyably so,” said Selway in a statement.

Last month, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke took to Twitter to confirm recording had been taking place at the band’s studio. In a series of posts, the frontman revealed that he and Stanley Donwood – creator of the band’s artwork since 1994 – were going through 15 years’ worth of unused images and words, and that overdubs were happening in the studio on the second day of recording.
