Yorke hints that new track 'Silent Spring' could be a Radiohead song

Thom Yorke performed what could be a new Radiohead song and also played with Patti Smith in Paris yesterday (December 4).

Pathway to Paris held a concert to coincide with The UN Climate Change Conference at Le Trianon. Thom Yorke, Patti Smith and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea were among the musicians in attendance. Yorke played two new song during his set including one titled ‘Silent Spring’.

At one point during the song he referred to what would normally be “Jonny’s bit”, leading fans to speculate that the song is a new Radiohead track.

Pathway To Paris brings together members of the creative community, climate activists and consultants to talk about solutions to climate change issues. The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Summit runs from November 30 to December 11, and is being attended by a host of world leaders.

Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea have briefly reunited their Atoms For Peace project on French TV show Le Grand Journal this week.

The pair also discussed climate change issues on the show, with Flea saying “I am shocked and saddened by completely hair-brained politicians saying that climate change is not real and that the globe is not warming as a result of human activity.”
