Johnny Borrell makes last minute dash after visa loss…

Razorlight singer JOHNNY BORRELL was forced to make a last minute dash in order to start his band’s American tour with MUSE.

Borrell suffered two bits of bad luck which meant he only arrived in Miami just ahead of the band’s first show on their 21 date US college tour.

Firstly, after mislaying his passport and visa the singer had to remain behind when his bandmates travelled to the States while replacements were issued.

This meant Borrell flew in from Britain only hours before the band were due to take the stage at Boca Raton, but was fortunately given special dispensation by customs and police to be picked-up as quickly as possible from the airport.

However, the singer then suffered his second bit of bad luck when he discovered US immigration had lost his brand new cricket bat, a recent birthday present.

Despite his misfortune Borrell recently told NME.COM how excited he is by the prospect of touring American again.

“I’m very much looking forward to going to America this time,” he explained. “We’re doing a lot of the South which I haven’t seen, I’m just looking forward to being out there. “

Meanwhile the band released single ‘Somewhere Else’ yesterday (April 11), and are hoping for a good chart return, particularly as from this week downloads are now eligible towards the UK singles chart.

Following their US tour, the band return to the UK to make a series of festival appearances and begin work on their second album.
