The 1975 hug Larry David in ‘SNL’ promo video – watch

British band appear on US TV show this weekend (February 6)

The 1975 have starred alongside Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David in a promo video for this weekend’s episode of US TV’s Saturday Night Live.

The British band release second album ‘I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ later this month (February 26), following on from their 2013 debut ‘The 1975’.

The 1975 make their SNL debut on Saturday (February 6), appearing in a teaser advert with guest host Larry David as well as comedian and actress Kate McKinnon.

In the clip, Seinfeld creator David encourages viewers to watch this week’s show, before The 1975 embrace him in a group hug. Watch below.

Healy recently told NME he believes “the world needs” the band’s imminent new album.

The frontman admits that the ambitious nature of the band’s new album could prove a stumbling block but that he couldn’t have made the album any other way. “I’m challenging people to sit through an hour and 15 minutes and 17 songs that all sound completely different from each other,” he admits. “It’s quite an emotional investment. It’s art. It’s what I want to do. The world needs this album.”

The 1975 will embark on a UK tour next month. See those dates below.
